We live in unsettling times. Unfortunately, places of worship have become targets for
people intent on doing harm.

For just a moment, think about your response to an active shooter event at Ascension.

What would you do? What resources are available?

Our church council is addressing these issues by establishing a Safety and Security team, headed by Christine Rudin. This team will provide education/resources for our congregation, the preschool and groups that meet at Ascension.

The team is in the preliminary implementation phase-but it is important for our church family to know that we are taking a proactive approach to emergent situations. Further information will be available as the team formulates plans.
