HOLY WEEK, April 1 - 8, 2023Holy Week is the time we remember Jesus’ last week on earth, beginning with Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and ending with Jesus’ resurrection on Easter. This is the heart of Lent, the time of Jesus’ movement to the cross where he showed his love is stronger than death. And finally after 40 days we rejoice in the glorious new dawn of Easter. Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
at the depth of Jesus’ love. EASTER/Resurrection of Our Lord, April 9, 2023Easter Morning Festival Worship, 10:00 am
On Easter Day we celebrate the risen Jesus! Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! The entire congregation comes together to celebrate all the glory of Easter with flowers, trumpets, choir and instrumental music, the story of Jesus’ resurrection and promise of new life for us all, and lots of shouting to show the joy we feel in our hearts! Alleluia! EASTER/The Season of Easter, April 16 – May 14, 2023For a portion of the Easter season (currently April 23 and April 30) we will celebrate Earth Day with creation-themed worships. On April 23, 10:00 am, we will hold our annual event with “Lutherans Restoring Creation” in Acton Hall. On April 30th, we will be back in the sanctuary for “Good Shepherd” Sunday.
