Sunday Adventure for the Big and Small
Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight the paths for him."            Matthew 3:3

Pentecost and The Great Commission            Opening in the Sanctuary

Jesus said that we are to be witnesses for him. Witnesses tell what they know. Jesus wants us to tell others about Him and that He died and rose again to save us from our sins. Some people will believe and some won't. Whether someone believes in Jesus is not up to us. Only the Holy Spirit can work faith in a person's heart.

Cherubs (pre-schoolers) meet in room 2 with Diane Loomis.

Sunday Adventurers rotate between Who Wants to Be a Disciple (Games); Raiders of the Lost Art (Art Room); and The Good Apple (Computers).

The "I Am's" of Jesus                                                Opening in the Sanctuary

God told Moses that his name was "I Am." Jesus repeated that message to his disciples. This year we are going to explore what that means and we will discuss who we all are. We will start with "I am a child of God."

Cherubs (pre-schoolers) meet in room 2

Sunday Adventurers will rotate between Who Wants to Be a Disciple (Games); Tent Tales (Storytelling) and The Good Apple (Computers).

Children's Education

Sunday Adventure Rotation meets  on Sunday mornings from 10:10-11:00 a.m.

Classes are offered for children 3 years old through 6th grade.

What is Sunday Adventure?

Sunday Adventure is the name we use for our elementary Sunday School ministry. The Sunday Adventure focuses for several weeks on a single biblical story or concept. There are four or five "Adventure Stations" -computer, video, kitchen, art, drama, etc.- where the children rotate each week as they explore a concept of the current rotation.

In each Adventure Station there is an Adventure Leader who presents the lesson for that station. The children are divided by school grade and "guided" to their Adventure Station by their Adventure Guides. The Adventure Guides stay with their age group for the entire school year, thus they have the opportunity to get to know each child. The Adventure Station Leaders change with each new Rotation series.

Our preschool children do not always visit the rotation centers, but they have their own similar lessons in their self contained classrooms.

The Discipleship Bunch                                        Choir Room

Intentional Discipleship Growth with Carolee Uits and Curt Skarloken

With new believers wishing they could be like Paul, long-time believers in Jesus may come to a point of asking, "Is that all there is?" A series of DVD media programs will inspire and crank up your Christian life as you consider the next step in your Christian life - wherever you are at. Associated with fresh, inspiring, and challenging Sunday Teaser Sessions, we will begin midweek Bible Studies and other small group opportunities of faith building.

There were no card-carrying members in the original church. We are all intended by God to be disciples full of purpose, commissioned by Jesus into an ever more meaningful and fulfilling faith walk. It is far more than exciting and fulfilling!

A   Adult Forum                                                                    Adult Lounge

The Adult Forum will be studying the influence of prophecy in guiding (or not guiding) Israel and Judah after the glory days of David and Solomon.  If you've wondered who all those prophets were, or just enjoy lively Sunday morning discussion, you are welcome in the Adult Lounge at 10:10 Sunday mornings.

The Prophets led by Dave Horn and Robin Ringe begins September 19 in the Adult Lounge. Bring your Bible and your cup of coffee.

Bible Study for Parents  with Young Children   Family Room

We are offering a Bible study class with a unique format, young children will be welcome. We understand that sometimes the more traditional nursery and Sunday Adventure (Sunday School for children) are not the right options for all children. This class will be a Bible study for the adults and there will be coloring books, crayons and toys for the children. You do not need to have a small child to come to this class; all are welcome. We will start with discussions on prayer in our lives.

Johanna Marrazzi will coordinate this class.

Sunday Adventure Leaders

Leaders are needed to teach the workshops in Sunday Adventure. Volunteer for one rotation of four weeks and teach the same story to a different age class each week.
