The quality of our communication skills has a powerful impact on our relationships with our family, friends and co-workers. Do you ever find yourself finishing the other person’s sentences, losing track of what’s being said, or mentally rehearsing what you’re going to say next? These are signals indicating a need to improve our communication skills!
Listening For Heaven’s Sake is an 8-hour course where we learn and practice techniques for building healthy, positive, more effective communication skills. These skills establish a foundation of trust and genuine caring in personal and professional relationships. This workshop is foundational for anyone who wishes to grow spiritually and serve effectively.
Speaking the Truth in Love is the second course in this series. This 10-hour course provides essential skills for moving beyond surface relationships to deeper insight and personal transformation. Listening For Heaven’s Sake is a pre-requisite for this course.
SCHEDULE : Ascension Lutheran Church will host Listening For Heaven's Sake on Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Acton Hall in the main church building. Cost: $80.00. Register through Equipping Ministries International (EMI) by calling 1-800-364-4769 or register on their website at www.equipping ministries.org. This course is open to everyone. Those who complete the course will be able to take the information back to their home churches and teach it to their own congregation.
